The statistics about the environmental issues is shocking, and the scientists state that humans are destroying the planet…BUT let’s not be pessimistic and to inspire you, I’d like to introduce you to these impressive changes of 2018!

Go Vegan!

According to the Vegan Society research, that demand for meat-free food increased by 987% in 2017 and going vegan was predicted to be the biggest food trend in 2018.

Moreover, researchers at the University of Oxford found that cutting meat and dairy products from your diet could reduce an individual's carbon footprint from food by up to 73 percent. Switching to vegan will be the single biggest impact on planet earth. It's delicious and healthy!

I really recommend watching this video about the environmental benefits of veganism, please educate yourself:

Tesla Solar Roof or "the house of the future"

Solar rooftop complements your home's architecture while turning sunlight into electricity. Glass solar tiles are so durable they are warrantied for the lifetime of your house or infinity.

Tesla provides an app for checking energy usage in real-time. This shows how much power the roof is producing, how much is going to the Powerwall, and how much is in use around the house any one time.

There are many reasons why you may want to consider switching for solars such as:

  • Produces none of the other harmful emissions or wastes associated with coal power

  • Generates no carbon dioxide or other heat-trapping gases that contribute to climate change

  • Avoids the environmental risks associated with natural gas, including potential water pollution during extraction

  • Creates none of the long-lasting waste or environmental risks associated with nuclear power

Check out Tesla's website to learn more, solar rooftop is the future!

Soap made of residual waste-SOOP

BeeBlue is an entrepreneurial group making products and developing services that have a positive impact on society, nature and the economy. The amount of waste which comes from coffee and orange juice is enormous worldwide, and in the Netherlands, this totals 134 million kilos of coffee grounds and 250 million kilos of orange peel each year.

They decided to make a natural soap which not only smells good and works well in cleaning and exfoliating your skin, but is also free from chemicals and plastics often used by other soap varieties.

At the moment, they have liquid, bar soaps and other cleaning products in the range.

A solar-powered highway is coming to Georgia

According to mbg Planet, a "regenerative highway ecosystem" called The Ray will soon cover 18 miles of road with solar panels that feed power into roadside EV charging stations. The holistic highway model will weave through a pollinator garden and small, sustainable farms filled with crops that mitigate the effects of global warming.

Hope you enjoyed the post!
